(Day Game/ Traditional Camp)

We have received your application and pre-registration fee and look forward to seeing you on Friday the 14th. Please read the following information carefully.

BALANCE OF PAYMENT: Enclosed is an invoice with the total amount due, amount paid and your balance due for the instruction week. The balance is due no later than July 5th, 2017. Due to College regulations we must have your balance of payment two weeks before camp.

In case of cancellation, your balance of payment will be refunded so long as written notification is sent by July 5th, 2017

REGISTRATION: All sponsors and cheerleaders, whether resident or commuter, should report to Loretta Hall, Emmanuel College on July 14th.

Registration Hours: 9:00AM – 12:00AM

Rooms and meal tickets will be assigned and registration. Meal service will begin with the lunch on the first day and end with breakfast on the last day.

HOUSING: Camp directors will be on duty 24 hours a day to supervise and assist participants. Each participant will be issued a room key. You will be charged $50.00 for any lost keys. We encourage participants to bring their own fans as the dorm is not air conditioned.

TELEPHONE: Calls should only be placed in emergencies. If necessary, place a person to person call to (617) 735-9710 the Emmanuel College Public Safety office. Leave the participant’s name and the school he or she attends. A camp director will have the participant return the call as soon as possible.

CHECKOUT PROCEDURE: Participants must clean their rooms before leaving. You and your school will be held responsible for any damages to the room. The events will end around 11:30am on Monday the 17th. Parents or persons providing transportation should have this information .Parents are invited to final evaluation at 9am on the 18th.

PLEASE BRING TO CHECK-IN THE FOLLOWING FORMS;  PARTICIPANT RELEASE & WAIVER FORM, ADULT RELEASE AND WAIVER FORM, EMAIL INFORMATION FORM,  AND EMMANUEL COLLEGE  LIABILITY FORM: Please have a parent or guardian complete all forms and bring them to registration.

COMMUTING STUDENTS: Meals for commuting students will be offered for $9.00 (lunch) and $9.00 (dinner).  

LINENS: Participants are asked to bring their own linens including sheets, pillow, pillowcases, towels, and washcloths.

FINAL EVALUA TION: Parents or other family members are welcome to attend the final evaluation session and Final Awards Ceremony on Monday the 17th at 9am.

PICTURES: No Team pictures will be taken.

Emmanuel College Dance Competition

    Small groups are under 13 Large groups are 13 and up
  • Competition Information

    All performances will be on a hard wood floor with no backdrops or wings and tap shoes are not allowed.

    Every team will win a trophy which will be awarded within each category. Every group will receive audio critiques emailed to them as well as a written score sheet. Routines will be judged on technical ability, execution, synchronization, level of difficulty, choreography, and overall performance.

    There will be a 2 minutes 30 seconds limit for dance teams and a 3 minute limit for dance studios only.

    There is a $8.00 admission fee for adults and $3.00 for children 6 and under. Free parking on campus. Beautiful New Sports Complex with seating capacity of 1500.

    The cost for Solo is $40. The cost for Duo is $35 per person. The cost for Trio is $30 per person. The cost for a team is $100.

    Please enclose your entry fee with the application. Please submit payment by: January 25, 2021.

  • General Information

  • Cheer/Dance Competition Categories

    Cheer divisions are divided by grade and/or age. Select the division which represents the age or grade(s) attended by the vast majority of your squad members. Teams with their majority spread over 5th through 8th grades should enter our 'Mixed Level" division. Select the difficulty level: Bronze (B), Silver (S), Gold (G), Platinum (P), or Diamond (D) for each team competing. Please examine the descriptions of the expected routine components for each of these categories on our website before choosing which level to enter. Note the number of cheerleaders/dancers on each team, and write in an email address for their oral critique to be sent. Check ‘Club’ if your team does not regularly cheer at games. Dance coaches check off the 'Mat' line if you would like your team to perform on the matted cheer floor instead of the Marley floors.
  • Cheer Division Teams

    Please select both a division and a level for each team.
  • Bronze Level Routine Restrictions (Novice/Level 1 Limited):
    Stunts (including inversions, release moves, and tosses):
    • Two-leg stunts allowed at and below prep level (shoulder height).
    • Single-leg stunts restricted to knee level and below (including on nuggets).
    • No inversions of any kind.
    • No release moves.
    • No basket tosses or other tosses.
    Pyramids:
    • Must follow all 'Stunts' restrictions.
    Dismounts:
    • No cradles permitted.
    Tumbling:
    • No advanced/elite tumbling (e.g., back handsprings, aerials, layouts).
    • Unlimited basic tumbling allowed (rolls, cartwheels, round-offs, walkovers).
  • Silver Level Routine Restrictions (Beginner/Level 1):
    Stunts (including inversions, release moves, and tosses):
    • Two-leg stunts at and below prep level
    • Single-leg stunts at and below waist level (exception: at prep level if braced with hand/arm contact with a base/post/spotter)
    • Hitches, show and go's, stunts where the bases' arms are extended but the flyer is seated or horizontal
    • Twisting entries and transitions limited to ¼ turn
    • No inversions in stunts (exception: ground-to-ground cartwheel over partner)
    • No baskets/tosses
    • Release-style transitions (spotter or post maintains contact) at and below waist level and during cradles/cradle reloads/flatback positions
    Pyramids:
    • Extended two-leg stunts and prep level single-leg stunts braced hand/arm on at least one side
    • No flips
    • No release transitions (exception: flyer may remain braced during cradle)
    Dismounts:
    • Cradles limited to ¼ twist
    • No flips or inversions
    Tumbling:
    • Advanced/elite tumbling limited to 25% of team (any number may perform rolls, cartwheels, roundoffs and walkovers)
  • Gold Level Routine Restrictions (Intermediate/Level 2):
    Stunts (including inversions, release moves, and tosses):
    • Two-leg stunts at and below extended level
    • Single-leg stunts at and below prep level
    • Twisting entries and transitions limited to ½ turn
    • Inversions from the ground to below prep level
    • Release-style transitions (post or spotter maintains contact) at and below prep level and during barrel rolls/cradles/cradle reloads and flatback positions (may pass through extension)
    • Straight ride baskets/tosses only
    Pyramids:
    • Extended single-leg stunts braced hand/arm on at least one side
    • Release transitions (1 bracer maintains hand/arm contact) at and below prep level and during cradles/cradle reloads/flatback positions (may pass through extension)
    Dismounts:
    • Single twist cradle from 2 legs at prep
    • Inversions with hands to mat from below prep level
    • No flips
    Tumbling:
    • Elite tumbling limited to 50% of team (any number may perform rolls, cartwheels, roundoffs, walkovers and handsprings)
  • Platinum Level Routine Restrictions (Advanced/Level 3):
    Stunts (including inversions, release moves, and tosses):
    • Single leg stunts at and below extended level
    • Twisting entries and transitions limited to one full twist at prep level
    • ½ twists up to 2 leg extensions
    • Inversions at or below prep level
    • Releases at or below prep level (may pass through extension)
    • Tosses limited to single trick or up to 1¼ twist
    Pyramids:
    • Extended single leg stunts braced by extended or below 2 leg stunts
    • Release transitions (1 bracer maintains hand/arm contact) at and below extended level
    • Braced flips (no twisting) beginning/ending at prep level or below
    Dismounts:
    • Cradles from 2 legs at extension and single leg prep level limited to 1¼ twist
    • Inversions during dismounts from prep level and below
    Tumbling:
    • Elite tumbling limited to 75% of team (any number may perform rolls, cartwheels, roundoffs, walkovers and handsprings)
  • Diamond Level Routine Restrictions (Elite/Level 4):
    • Teams must follow the rules set out for them by their individual organizations
  • Youth Divisions

    Please select team/s division and level.
  • Dance Divisions

    Massachusetts High School Dance Teams are permitted to perform by the M.S.S.A.A.

    Please Select Division and Style.

  • Entry Fee

    Registration is due before Monday, November 3rd.  The fee per team is $100 if registration is received prior to October 26th. After 10/26 the fee will be $120.00.  Payment need not be remitted at time of registration.
