UDA ALL AMERICAN INFORMATION

Each dance team attending UDA camp can nominate members of the team to compete for the honor of being named “UDA All-American”. All seniors are eligible to tryout. If there are no seniors, then a maximum of six team members may be nominated to tryout. The Head Instructor will let you know the exact time and location of the All-American tryout. Candidates will tryout in groups of two or more.

Selection Process:

Each candidate will perform six eight counts of UDA material and will add two eight counts of their own choreography. Please check your camp schedule when you check in for exact times and location.

Selected Junior High and Junior Varsity All-Americans will have the opportunity to perform in the Houston Thanksgiving Day Parade, Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade or the Disney Thanksgiving Tour at the Walt Disney World Resort based on the state in which they attend camp. The dates are November 24-27, 2009.

Selected Sophomore, Junior and Senior All-Americans are invited to participate in the Rome New Year’s Day Tour. The travel dates are December 26, 2009 – January 2, 2010. UDA staff will be on-hand to chaperone the event to ensure their safety and fun. If you have any questions, please contact Mike Fultz at mfultz@varsityspirit.com.

Home Routine placements will not be announced until the final awards ceremony on the last day of camp (see Home Routine Rules and Regulations).
